Rick Alfred, Sr. Advisor of NCW As an active participant in my youth as swimmer, diver, dancer and gymnast, I have used these life experiences and skills to grow and use my expertise in these similar fields... to teach and encourage our youth of today to grow mentally and physically and condition themselves into mature young adults. At the age of 53 as a non-active participant in these fields, I still love the sports but now leave the activity part to the younger generation to enjoy judging competitions. National Cheerleading Week was invented to applaud those having the time, enthusiasm and desire to become cheerleaders and enjoy life to its fullest as they grow into young adults. Having several certifications, in cheerleading, dance and gymnastics, have enabled me to judge in these fields for over 20 years. I am currently employed with United Cheer Company in Houston, Texas. |
